“New Zealand voucher system can eat my d***” -Dan Hooker tears into NZ’s pandemic regulations

Dan Hooker hasn’t fought since his last outing at UFC 257

Dan ‘The Hangman’ Hooker is not happy with the way his country New Zealand has been implementing strict lockdown regulations.

The Kiwi last fought UFC Newcomer Michael Chandler who was then making his debut in the promotion. In the very first round, he was knocked out by ‘Iron Mike’.

The defeat saw him slip further in the lightweight rankings, and he is now currently ranked number 8 in the lightweight division.

The New Zealander recently took to Twitter to trash his home country New Zealand’s voucher system which requires all travellers to have a voucher confirming their place in managed isolation before boarding their flight.

Hooker wrote on Twitter:

“New Zealand voucher system can eat my whole dick. September/October booked out so if I fight in sept I can’t come home until November. And the UFC going to come to NZ….Dreaming.”

Israel Adesanya called out Robert Whittaker for a fight in Auckland

The last time Whittaker and Adesanya met, it was UFC 243, Izzy became the middleweight champion. The fight took place in Melbourne, Whittaker’s backyard.

Following his victory against Marvin Vettori at UFC 263, Adesanya called out Whittaker for a rematch, this time in his own hometown – Auckland.

However, going by Hooker’s tweet, if Adesanya is hell-bent on his fight taking place in New Zealand, it would be a while before we see Adesanya vs Whittaker.
