Dana White couldn’t keep his eyes off the super fight between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant
What a fortnight it has been for Dana White. The UFC boss is coming off two back-to-back UFC pay-per-views – UFC 267 and UFC 268.
UFC 268, especially, was one of the biggest UFC events in recent times.
White, as usual, was sitting by the ringside, watching the action unfold at the Madison Square Garden.
However, a ton of eyeballs caught the bossman watching a different combat sport. White couldn’t keep his eyes off the super-middleweight title unification bout between Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant.
It was first pointed out by American journalist Arash Markazi.
Alvarez went on to win the fight via. a brutal KO in the eleventh round of the fight. He thereby became the first and only super-middleweight champion in the history of Boxing.
He now holds the WBA (Super), WBC, WBO, The Ring super and the IBF Super middleweight titles.
Plant, for his part, did put on a decent fight against Alvarez. He delivered much more than what was expected.
Dana White bet a whopping $100,000 on a Canelo Alvarez KO
At the post-fight press conference, Dana White ranted about paying $80 to watch the Showtime PPV featuring Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant.
Here is White talking about the same:
White went on to reveal that he had bet a whopping $100,000 on an Alvarez KO. The Mexican didn’t disappoint, handing White a big pay day.
