Just after the fight was announced, it was revealed that the winner of this trilogy bout might face lightweight champion Charles Oliveira for the title.

In a recent interview with THEMACLIFE, UFC President Dana White confirmed the same. Although White stated that it was not official, he did say that a lightweight title fight would be the next one for the winner of this trilogy.

White replied when asked if the winner gets the title shot:

“I think so. I mean it’s not set in stone and anything can happen after the fight, who knows, but yeah, it makes sense.”

With the fight inching closer, Conor McGregor has begun his mind games. The Irishman was a step above this time as he dragged Dustin Poirier’s wife Jolie Poirier into their rivalry.

Taking to Twitter, the Irishman posted a photo of Jolie attempting to reach out to him via. Instagram DM.

Although it is obvious that the screenshot is probably a morphed one, delicate issues like these can mess up with anyone’s head.

Poirier, who is more mature than ever will be looking forward to turning a blind eye to whatever antics McGregor will have in store for the next few days.
