UFC President Dana White put an end to all the speculations, as he all but confirmed that the trilogy bout between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, is on, as tickets go on sale.
Just as fight fans were worried about the trilogy bout between McGregor and Poirier not happening, UFC President Dana White announced that UFC will be back in Vegas on July the 10th, with McGregor vs Poirier 3 headlining the event.
The last few days have been quite eventful for top-ranked lightweight fighters, especially McGregor and Poirier. After seemingly disagreeing to fight ‘The Diamond’ in a trilogy bout, over ‘the charity payment dispute’, the Irishman revealed that he will be fighting someone else.
However, things have unravelled quite quickly as the trilogy bout appears to be very much on. In a video posted recently to Twitter, UFC President Dana White has revealed that the UFC will be heading to Vegas on the 10th of July with 100 percent attendance (around 20000 fans).
The tickets for the event will be going on sale this week and they can be booked on several platforms.
A chuffed Dana White tweeted:
“Vegas is OPEN!!! Poirier vs McGregor July 10th. tix on sale this week”
A bit of bad blood between McGregor and Poirier going into the fight
During their rematch at UFC 257, McGregor came across as a very humble and demure personality. He was a mere shadow of his ‘Notorious’ self.
Once he was beaten badly, he revealed that he would not be Mr. Humble anymore.
And, after the recent nasty spat between him and Poirier, it is very evident that there will a lot of trash talk going into the fight. Bring on the 10th of July!
