Dana White was chuffed about bettering Vince McMahon at his own game
Ciryl Gane vs Francis Ngannou is the next fight in the heavyweight division, and UFC president Dana White is beyond pleased with the fact that he is the mastermind behind the fight happening.
Just when Derrick Lewis vs Ngannou was set to happen, Gane phenomenally rose through the ranks and earned an interim heavyweight title shot against Lewis.
The winner of the fight was set to take on Ngannou for the heavyweight title, which is obvious when there is an interim heavyweight title at stake.
And like White would have wanted, Gane ended up being the winner to set up a battle of the teammates soon.
White was elated when the same was pointed out by the interviewer at the post-fight press conference.
Acknowledging the interviewer for pointing it out, White claimed that even WWE CEO Vince McMahon couldn’t have written a better script.
“It doesn’t get any better than this. You couldn’t write it. You couldn’t script it. F*** in Vince couldn’t have wrote a better script for this whole thing. It’s beautiful.”
Daniel Cormier believes Ciryl Gane would pose a massive threat to Francis Ngannou
Former UFC heavyweight great, Daniel Cormier took to Twitter to claim that the technically gifted Gane would pose real problems to Ngannou.
Cormier wrote:
“He’s a real problem! I’m super excited about the unification fight! If I am team @francis_ngannou I’m game plan meeting right now! We haven’t seen a heavyweight like this with these abilities!”
It is worth noting that, Gane and Ngannou were sparring partners for a short while during Ngannou’s time at MMA Factory.
