UFC president Dana White confirmed the fight cards for 13 and 16 May Fight Night events
Dana White is back at it with a lot of details for the UFC fight cards on 13 and 16 May. The UFC president is ready to restart his promotion on 8 May with UFC 249, but he seems to be setting up a few home runs along the way.
The UFC will have a triple-header of sorts at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida with two more events now.
White normally announces weekly fights but this decision has been taken due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The UFC had to postpone/cancel several fights and it seems they are trying to get their wheels running again.
White was speaking to ESPN about the fights and revealed two stacked cards after UFC 249.
There are several fights on the preliminary card but the main card has some incredible bouts.
The headline clash sees a Light Heavyweight fight between Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira. The other big fight of the night pits Ben Rothwell vs Ovince St Preux in a Heavyweight clash.
Next we have a Lightweight clash between Drew Dober and Alexander Hernandez. Ricky Simon and Ray Borg meet in a Bantamweight clash while the final fight of the main card sees Karl Robinson face off against Marvin Vettori.
There are four other fights on the preliminary card for the May 13 UFC Fight Night 175 event
The next UFC event takes place just a few days later and the main event sees Heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris collide.
Rising women’s Strawweight star Angela Hill also goes into the Octagon against Claudia Gadelha. The third fight of the main card sees Edson Barboza face off against Dan Ige in a Featherweight clash.
A middleweight clash between Eryk Anders and Krzysztof Jotko is the fourth fight while Featherweights Song Yadong and Marlon Vera finish off the main card.
There are five other fights on the preliminary card for the 16 May UFC Fight Night 176 event.
