Daniel Cormier confirms losing crazy weight in five weeks ahead of Stipe Miocic fight

Stipe Miocic defends his UFC title against Daniel Cormier at UFC 252

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier is already working hard as he prepares to face Stipe Miocic.

The much-awaited heavyweight championship fight will finally take place at UFC 252 on August 15. Miocic and Cormier have one win each and this is expected to be the final fight for Cormier.

DC, as Cormier is called, has enjoyed a great career in the UFC and will go down as one of the greats. However, he is 41 and this final fight could be a great way to end his UFC career.

Cormier was recently on the Helwani and DC MMA show and spoke about how he has lost weight during the quarantine period:

“I have lost 24 pounds.”

Helwani was amazed at the amount of weight that DC lost and asked him since when.

“Jacksonville, I don’t know how long, but it was five weeks.”

Cormier not revealing it all

Helwani then pressed to find out what DC’s weight was in all this. However, the former champion wasn’t looking to share any details of his actual weight.

He didn’t want to give away any idea of what he was doing ahead of the Miocic fight.

“Let’s just say I was approaching the Heavyweight limit.”

DC also confirmed that the heaviest he has ever been was around 263-264 pounds, but he was preparing hard for his upcoming fight.

The former champion further went on to confirm that he will have his fight mode on soon just before the fight. That might affect his mood during the Helwani show, however, he claimed that he could keep things in control for an hour.

DC vs Miocic 3 is going to be an amazing clash, and it will be interesting to see what happens in this bout.
