Daniel Cormier seems to be enjoying ‘The Last Dance’
UFC star Daniel Cormier also chimed in on the debate on the Greatest of all time (GOAT) in basketball.
There is no doubt that Michael Jordan is right at the top in this discussion, and The Last Dance certainly has gotten a lot of people talking.
The Netflix documentary chronicles how the Chicago Bulls, under Jordan, became so dominant. The show also highlights some of the rivalries Jordan had with some of the best in the NBA.
Jordan certainly has the numbers and titles to showcase he is possibly the GOAT, and Cormier also highlighted how crazy MJ was with his rivalries:
“To be really good at something you’ve gotta be a little crazy, Michael Jordan was insane. An absolute madman! These grudges he would create shows how mad he was!”
Cormier’s tweet also ended with him calling Jordan the GOAT. There are several others who came be thrown into the debate such as Larry Bird or Allen Iverson or LeBron James, but Jordan really turned things around for the Bulls.
Cormier is also one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, and he is eyeing gold for a final time.
Cormier wants another shot at UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic. However, Miocic until recently was nursing an eye injury and had surgery to deal with it. The champion is also open to a rematch but cannot pinpoint a date due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The UFC has returned to action after a month out. Three events took place in the span of a week with some of their biggest stars returning to action.
It will be interesting to see when Miocic vs Cormier round 3 takes place. Cormier is a former Heavyweight champion and he could finish his UFC career by winning the title one more time.
