Ariel Helwani and Daniel Cormier were speaking about UFC Las Vegas 2 and brought up Marvin Vettori.

The Italian Stallion picked up an impressive win over Karl Roberson in the last PPV. Vettori celebrated wildly by banging his head on the cage too, but Helwani highlighted that the Italian was upset with him.

Helwani was speaking about Vettori’s fight against middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, and that seems to be the reason why the Italian was mad at the MMA journalist.

“Marvin Vettori thinks I hate him. I don’t know what’s his problem. He comes after me on Twitter and says he wants to slap me and beat me up, I don’t know what I ever did to Marvin Vettori”, said Helwani.

DC and Helwani added that most of Vettori’s post-fight interview could not be heard either, and Helwani was just happy that Vettori got a win.

However, this was where the problem arose:

“Prior to this, his claim to fame was that he went the distance with Israel Adesanya”, said Helwani.

This is where Cormier stepped in:

“Now I get to kind of see why Marvin wants to beat you up. Because you say stuff like that.”

Why would you say that?

Cormier went on to say that suggesting that Vettori’s only claim to fame was fighting Adesanya wasn’t correct.

However, Helwani added that Vettori now has a big win under his belt and he was giving his props. The journalist claimed that he didn’t speak about this but it was Vettori who often brought up Adesanya.

Helwani closed off by saying that Vettori was like the “Ultimate Warrior” at WrestleMania 6 and he still didn’t know what he did to the UFC star.

Vettori, apparently, was upset at Helwani even before that fight and the MMA journalist claimed this was a weird way to get onto the show.
