UFC commentator Daniel Cormier broke down Charles Oliveira’s recent win over Dustin Poirier at UFC 269
Charles Oliveira successfully defended his lightweight belt against Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 269, a couple of weeks ago.
After getting off to a sluggish start (lost the 1st round to Poirier), Oliveira upped the pace in the second. He got Poirier gassed out in the second, and submitted him in the third round.
It is worth noting that Oliveira wasn’t taken as seriously as he should have been prior to the fight. Many believed that Poirier would come away with a win.
Breaking down Oliveira’s game plan, UFC commentator and former champ Daniel Cormier called him to be a very tough puzzle to crack.
The video Cormier posted had Oliveira tiring Poirier with knees to the body. It also transitioned to the fight between Cormier and his bitter rival Jon Jones, wherein ‘Bones’ was seen doing the same before going on to beat DC.
DC tweeted:
“This was one of the essential things in the lightweight title fight between Oliviera and Poirier. He was constantly hitting him with his knees. The attack of Do Bronx comes at you in so many ways. He’s a very tough puzzle to crack.”
Charles Oliveira thanks Neymar Jr. for his support
Brazilian football star Neymar Jr. recently caught up with fellow countryman Charles Oliveira. Sharing the photo of the same, Oliveira was seen posing alongside the PSG attacker.
He also thanked Neymar for his support:
“Thank you my friend for all the affection and cheering. God always bless you and lighten. Let’s go with everything always towards the top @Neymar Jr.”
