“I love them both” – Daniel Ricciardo gives his prediction for UFC 264: Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier

Team McClaren F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo has given his prediction for the UFC 264 headliner

The world is on tenterhooks as McGregor vs Poirier 3 inches closer. The pair will fight it out in the main event of UFC 264, this weekend at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

With a lot at stake in this fight (especially for McGregor), both the fighters will be looking forward to giving it their all, come this weekend.

A lot of predictions have been coming in for the fight, from celebrities across various walks of life.

More recently, F1 ace Daniel Ricciardo gave his prediction for the high-voltage UFC 264 clash. The Australian racer revealed that he was going with McGregor in the trilogy bout.

Ricciardo was quoted as saying:

“McGregor- Poirier, I love them both. Let’s say McGregor. Let’s say he is going to bounce back.”

The UFC 264 fight card is stacked. The co-main event features a welterweight battle at the top, between Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson and Gilbert ‘Durinho’ Burns. The winner of the fight, might take on Welterweight champ Kamaru Usman for the title.

Ricciardo gave his prediction for this fight as well. He picked the ‘Karate Master’ to emerge victorious.

‘The Honey Badger’ said:

“Wonderboy Thompson has some beautiful karate, kung-fu kind of stuff. He looked really good in his last fight. So, I’m going with Thompson.”

Thompson is coming off a victory over Geoff Neal in December 2020. Burns on the other hand is coming off a loss against Kamaru Usman at UFC 258, where he lost the fight in the third round due to a TKO.
