Darren Till and Khamzat Chimaev have formed MMA’s most unlikely relationship, and the duo trained together in Sweden
Darren Till is well on his path to redemption ever since the Liverpool native has been on a losing skid inside the octagon. He has lost four of his last five fights and wants to leave no stones unturned whenever he makes his Octagon return.
Till and Chimaev have gone live together on social media platforms on several occasions, and during one such session ‘The Borz’ invited Till to come train with him. The wrestling pedigree of Chimaev is reputed by now and Till accepted his offer to train with him in November 2021.
Till posted a video yesterday, showing the UFC stars training together and speaking candidly about the session. Chimaev was actually impressed by Till and believes he has in him what it takes to be a champion.
He said, “Darren was good, actually. Good, very good. Physical. He come yesterday, he spar with us, and now we go physical, you know? it’s hard… He’s done like two sessions today, he just came yesterday night. That’s good, that makes the champs.”
Khamzat Chimaev is probably the best prospect to emerge in the UFC in recent times. It’s interesting to think that Till was once considered the next big thing but somehow his last few losses have left him on the sideline. It is great to see him train with young hungry lions and it will hopefully rekindle his lost warrior spirit.
Football legend Wayne Rooney is impressed by Darren Till’s latest training regimen
Darren Till and Khamzat Chimaev’s comradeship has got the world talking and the latest to be impressed by the duo’s training footage is fellow Englishman and football legend, Wayne Rooney.
Rooney has been a longtime supporter of Till. He had even expressed his excitement for the first-ever UFC Liverpool event back in 2018, which featured a welterweight clash between Till and Stephen Thompson.
Darren Till is longing to bounce back from his slump and raring to go. He posted a video of him and Chimaev training in Sweden that impressed the English legend.
He commented on the post with some appreciative emojis,
“🔥💪“
