Derrick Lewis produced a sensational KO against Curtis Blaydes but then brought out the DX celebration

Derrick Lewis is one of the most dangerous fighters in the UFC. The Black Beast, as he is called, was ranked #4 coming into his latest clash as he took on Curtis Blaydes.

Blaydes was keen on getting a win and possibly challenging for the UFC Heavyweight title but The Black Beast had other ideas.

The second round saw Blaydes try to drop down and punch Lewis. However, Lewis got his punch right on Blaydes’ chin and the big man fell down in slow motion.

Lewis got in a couple of other heavy hits on a motionless Blaydes as the referee stopped the fight. Lewis is known to have some crazy celebrations after his victories and he brought out some tonight.

It all started with a throat slit, then watching his prey like a snake and to top it all off Lewis brought out the DX celebration.

This was made popular thanks to the D-Generation X, a stable in WWE during the 90s. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna, X-Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn were the most popular members and it seems Lewis was a fan of the WWE stable.

Lewis also got a $50,000 bonus for the Performance of the Night along with three other stars on the card.

Derrick Lewis creating UFC history

While Lewis’ KO and celebrations were talking points after the fight, The Black Beast has been getting it done in the UFC.

This was his 11th KO win in the Heavyweight division, which is now a record in the UFC. The 36-year-old now has a record of 25 wins, seven losses and one no contest. Lewis was also asked who he wanted to fight next and he called out all the top names in Stipe Miocic, Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou.

Lewis might not have been in the title scene before this fight. However, this KO win puts him closer to the top and another such win could see him fight for the gold.
