An alleged car thief didn’t know he was trying to break into Derrick Lewis’ car
Derrick Lewis is the number 2 ranked heavyweight contender. He is a knockout artist. He has the most knockout wins in the history of the UFC’s heavyweight division.
He is now looking forward to a rematch against the newly-crowned heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, as he is set to go on one last charge at the heavyweight title.
If there is someone who could knockout Ngannou in the UFC, it has to be ‘The Black Beast’.
More recently, a car thief has tried breaking into Lewis’ car not knowing that it belonged to the ‘Black Beast’.
Lewis had spotted it and is believed to have knocked him out. He then took to Instagram to share pictures of the thief being escorted by the cops.
He captioned the post:
“Mofo pick right/wrong car to break into. HE’S OK #herbdeanfault.”
ESPN MMA reporter Ariel Helwani had also posted on Twitter that Lewis had told him about knocking a man trying to break into his SUV.
Breaking into someone’s car is a terrible idea in the first place, and it gets even worse if it belongs to an MMA fighter. In this case, the man got into trouble with someone who is an MMA fighter going by street fighter credentials. Poor sod!
MMA community crowd Derrick Lewis’ comments section
Almost anyone in the world would know picking a fight or causing trouble to Derrick Lewis would be the most terrible idea. But the car thief certainly didn’t know that the SUV belonged to Lewis. Had he known, he might have had a second thought at least.
A lot of people from the MMA community reacted to Lewis’ post. Welterweight champion Usamn left a comment on Lewis’ post : “SMH! He’s ok at least!”
UFC President Dana White left a facepalm emoji while Tyron Woodley wrote,” Beat his ass.”
Looks like Lewis has added another knockout to his resume.
