Diego Sanchez and Joshua Fabia have been the talk of the MMA community over the past few weeks
Sanchez has finally decided to cut ties with coach Fabia. Although, it looked like the pair were going strong, it was already predicted that this split was inevitable.
In an exclusive statement to MMA Fighting, Sanchez revealed that he had ended his relationship with his coach and ‘self-awareness guru’.
Further details about him parting ways would later be revealed by ‘The Nightmare’ himself. Sanchez’s attorney Charles Lakins confirmed the news a while later in a statement:
“Any power of attorney that Fabia had has been rescinded/terminated.”
This announcement comes hardly a fortnight after Sanchez and Fabia appeared in several videos and interviews, accusing Dana White and other UFC bigwigs.
Diego Sanchez has had a tumultous month
It has been a wild ‘last 25 days’ for Sanchez. Firstly, he was released from the UFC, hardly 10 days before his fight against Donald Cerrone on the 8th of May.
What then followed was the UFC accusing Sanchez and his team, Fabia mainly, for asking the entire medical records of Sanchez right from 2005.
The promotion stated that they decided to release Sanchez since he was not able to provide confirmation about his well-being and health.
Sanchez and Fabia then went on an angry rant aimed at the UFC and its president Dana White.
Fabia was then singled out for being a leech and sucking the life out of Sanchez. And a few days later, a weird video where Sanchez was seen hanging upside-down while being hit by Fabia emerged. Fabia was unanimously blasted for his mediocrity.
Finally, the die has been cast on the pantomime villain.
