The latest patch update of UFC 4 saw a classic Conor McGregor build being added and a few more stars
The January 2021 patch update for UFC 4 features some new fighters and an old face. EA Sports has constantly posted updates of new fighters and skins since the release of the game, and this one was something special.
Conor McGregor is already a face in the game but the UFC legend faces Dustin Poirier for a second time in the promotion.
He fought Poirier at UFC 178 and EA Sports released a new patch that featured McGregor’s skin from that fight.
This McGregor is in the Featherweight division and has a 4.5 star rating. Further, the game also has a ton of McGregor vanity items from his earlier days.
McGregor isn’t the only fighter being added as Jiri Prochazka joins as a 4-star rated Light Heavyweight. Two character models from the Fight Night series, Isaac Frost and Andre Bishop, have also been unlocked.
However, the big talking point has been about McGregor and his new skin in the patch but the UFC skipping out on one star.
While getting to play with a new skin of McGregor is cool, it seems this is just a step to get more people into the game ahead of UFC 257.
UFC 257 is just a few days away, but the fans of the game just didn’t accept this update. They wanted more UFC stars in the game and not skins of those already in the game.
Kevin Holland was one name that the fans called out for. The Middleweight capped off an incredible 2020 by winning all five of his fights, and this was a historic moment in the promotion too.
Getting to use another version of McGregor might be great, but this didn’t sit well with the fans of UFC 4.
