Dustin Poirier vs Charles Oliveira targeted for UFC 269 in December

It looks like UFC 269 might be headlined by a lightweight title bout between Charles Oliveira and Dustin Poirier

Dustin Poirier will be gunning for glory when he fights for the lightweight title, the second time in his UFC career.

‘The Diamond’ is expected to face Charles Oliveira for the lightweight title on the 11th of December at UFC 269. This will also be Oliveira’s first-ever title defense.

The news of the fight was first circulated by several third-tier MMA outlets, and was then confirmed by MMA Fighting after multiple sources confirmed the same.

Only official confirmation from the UFC remains, as multiple news outlets have picked up the same.

Another title fight is also expected to feature at UFC 269. A flyweight bout between Brandon Moreno and Alexandre Pantoja is also being lined up for the event.

Pantoja has already defeated Moreno twice, and will be looking forward to laying his hands on the title.
