Dustin Poirier provided an update on the $20k donation he promised to Charles Oliveira
Dustin Poirier faced Charles Oliveira at UFC 269 on the 11th of December, 2021. After getting off to a brilliant start, Poirier was beaten by the Brazilian who was defending his lightweight title for the first time.
Poirier was devastated following his defeat. This is his second defeat in title fights, after having lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 242.
Despite the setback, the charitable fighter promised to donate an impressive $20k to the Brazilian.
More recently, Poirier provided an update about the donation he promised. ‘The Diamond’ clarified that he and his team were waiting for Oliveira to figure out the project they want it donated to:

“For anyone asking about the $20k donation I promised, of course I’m going to honor it! We have been in contact with Charles and his team. We are waiting for them to figure out what project they want it donated to.”
Nate Diaz hits out at Dustin Poirier in a now-deleted Tweet
Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier have been beefing online for quite a while.
In a recent Tweet (now deleted), Diaz hit out at Poirier asking him to bring himself ‘back from the dead.’
The Tweet read:
“Your not worthy. If u wanted to fight we would have already. Bring yourself back from the dead. You suck DP.”
