Dustin Poirier feels he would beat Conor McGregor by submission
UFC 264: Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 is just a few hours away, and it will be going down at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Poirier, who won the fight, last time around, will be looking forward to riding on the momentum and getting the job done once again.
For McGregor, it might be last chance saloon. He is surely having his back against the wall. However, the Irishman did seem confident during the pre-fight appearances over the past few days.
Yesterday, Poirier sat down with reporter Megan Olivi and gave one last prediction before his decisive night.
The Diamond claimed that his gut feeling hinted at a submission win over McGregor.
“For some reason, I just keep visualizing myself submitting this guy, yeah I really do. I don’t know how it’s going to come about or what’s going to happen but I just have a feeling I’m going to sub him, I really do.”
When further asked upon by Megan Olivi about the round in which he predicted that he would submit McGregor, Poirier replied that he usually does not make predictions.
He once against added that he had a feeling he would submit McGregor:
“I have no clue, I don’t even like to make predictions and stuff like that and usually I don’t have stuff come to my head like I’m going to knock this guy out, I’m just going to win by any means, that’s my goal in every fight. But, I just have a feeling I might submit him.”
Dustin Poirier is currently ranked number 1 in the lightweight division. He did have a really good chance to fight for the lightweight title at UFC 262, instead, he opted to fight McGregor, to settle the rivalry and chase greatness.
A win here, would guarantee him a shot at the lightweight title.
