“Bust someone up something nasty” – Dustin Poirier shares interesting messages regarding UFC inactivity

Published by

Dustin Poirier has not fought since December 2021

Dustin Poirier last fought for the UFC Lightweight title in December 2021, and hasn’t been in the Octagon since.

The Diamond was touted to fight Nate Diaz in a clash that should have taken place years ago. However, the UFC doesn’t seem keen on setting that fight up.

Poirier has spoken about his inactivity in the past and decided to do so again recently. He posted a short and simple message but it was a warning to all in the UFC.

“Im telling you, im gonna bust someone up something nasty next time out.

“Save this tweet”

Poirier also hit out at the UFC fighters and claimed they were “fakes”. The Diamond added that he couldn’t wait to beat people up.

Who is the next possible fight for Dustin Poirier?

Poirier’s last outing was a loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 269. This was his second loss in a title fight and it is unlikely he will get a chance to fight for the gold anytime soon.

He needs a big win under his belt and that can be part of a huge payday too. Diaz is an option, for sure, which would be a huge fight for the UFC fans.

Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor at UFC 264 (UFC)

The other fight that could possibly take place is a fourth clash against Conor McGregor. The Irishman has been out of action since breaking his ankle in his third fight with Poirier.

This happened at UFC 264 and Poirier leads their trilogy 2-1. McGregor wasn’t happy with how the fight ended at UFC 264, and he could be keen on running it back.

Any McGregor fight is big money for the UFC, and it would sense for the promotion to hold a fourth fight between Poirier and the Irishman.
