Dustin Poirier had good news to share about Good Fight Foundation
UFC lightweight star Dustin Poirier runs The Good Fight Foundation with his wife. The organization aims to make the world a better place by helping those in need.
From building water wells in Africa, to helping children get education in the United States of America, the foundation aims to help wherever it can.
And now, ‘The Diamond’ had some brilliant news to share regarding the foundation’s latest undertaking. They aimed to help a number of students get transportation and access to education during the pandemic.
This joint venture with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana reached its donations goal this week, and Poirier shared the good news on the foundation’s social media page.
He posted a video thanking everyone for their donations and credited everything to the people who helped the foundation reach its goal.
Poirier captioned the video with a long message which read:
“We would like to thank everyone who has donated, shared & spread the word about our goal with the @bgcacadiana !!! It is because of you that we were able to reach our goal in helping our children receive the tutoring & transportation needed to bridge the gap for educational issues during the pandemic 🙏🏽♥️#givingtuesday#thankyou#strongertogether#communitylove#fightthegoodfight“
Earlier, The Diamond auctioned off his UFC 257 fight kit for a massive $26,200, with all the proceeds going to his charity.
He has made it a habit to auction off his memorabilia in order to help the foundation. His opponent at UFC 257, Conor McGregor also made a sizeable donation before their fight.
‘The Notorious One’ donated $500,000 to The Good Fight Foundation. It is a great sight seeing the biggest names in UFC make an honest effort to make this society a better place.
