“Embarrassing”, “Cut the s*** talk” – UFC fans slam Tony Ferguson for mind games against “b****” Khabib Nurmagomedov

Tony Ferguson wasn’t impressed with Khabib Nurmagomedov meeting a former UFC CEO

Khabib Nurmagomedov sent the UFC world in a spin as he was pictured with Lorenzo Fertitta yesterday.

Fertitta is a former UFC CEO and Khabib also called out Dana White to share his location. Many UFC fans thought this was a sign that Khabib was returning to the Octagon.

Khabib Nurmagomedov posted this picture on his Instagram and spoke about enjoying his retired life (Instagram)

The Eagle retired with an incredible 29-0 record and White has tried his best to get Khabib back. However, the Russian seems to be enjoying his retired life, at least away from fighting.

Khabib is still training regularly and has taken up a coaching role. He was in the corner of friend, Islam Makhachev, at UFC 259 where the Russian defeated Drew Dober.

Khabib hasn’t spoken of a return but this meeting was enough to grab the eyeballs of many UFC stars too.

One of them was Tony Ferguson. El Cucuy and Khabib have a heated rivalry but the pair never got to meet in the Octagon.

UFC fans callout Tony Ferguson over Khabib Nurmagomedov tweet

While Ferguson is one of the best to have fought in the UFC, his form has been poor over the past few months.

El Cucuy can talk trash and train like crazy but he lost, convincingly, to Justin Gaethje and then Charles Oliveira.

Even Makhachev called out Ferguson for a fight since Khabib wasn’t returning and it will be interesting to see what is next for El Cucuy.

The fans too weren’t all that impressed by this tweet from the American. Some slammed him for calling out Khabib and asking for a fight while others believed Ferguson’s days are done.

Ferguson can still pull a rabbit out of a hat and reports suggest his next rival is Beneil Dariush for UFC 262. That would be a tough fight for Ferguson, but the American is still a dangerous opponent and could get the win.
