The back tattoo of Cody Garbrandt stands out amongst the plethora of others that he’s got
Cody Garbrandt is one of the greatest bantamweight fighters in the UFC. Hardly two years after making his debut in the promotion, he got hold of the bantamweight belt, defeating Dominick Cruz at UFC 207.
‘No Love’ is also known for his remarkable style statement. He’s got numerous tattoos all over his body. Initially, it was his colored neck tattoo that stood out from the rest, during his time as the champ.
However, in 2019 he decided to get a massive back tattoo covering his entire back. In his own YouTube channel, Garbrandt posted a VLOG in 2019, wherein he could be getting his back tattoo done by artist Nic Westfall.
Garbrandt explains in the video that it was a tribute to the Roman Gladiators who died fighting at the Colosseum. A warrior can also be seen standing after beheading an opponent. That’s a fighter’s tattoo!
Garbrandt also revealed that his tattoo took an insane amount of time to be completed. He explains on his YouTube channel that it took more than 24 hours for the artist to get the masterpiece done.
Garbrandt was so passionate about getting tattooed from a very young age. ‘No Love’ had almost 15 tattoos when he was just 18.
He has got several torso tattoos that read Twin City on either side of his collar bones. And then a sparrow on his right pec.
He has a tattoo towards the end of his neck, which reads Lord Have Mercy. Though Garbrandt claims that he is not that religious, he says he is very spiritual. He has got several Christian tattoos of Jesus Christ, Saint Michael, and a lot of others.
They are innumerous. He has a total of 35 tattoos. Wondering how many more ‘No Love’ would get!
