Raulian Paiva was all set to face David Dvorak at UFC Fight Night : Garbrandt vs Font. But a brutal weight cut saw his blood pressure plummet and had him dehydrated. Hence, he was rushed to the hospital and was forced to withdraw from his fight against Dvorak.

With only a day left, the fight was about to be pulled off. Enter – Juancamilo Ronderos.

The flyweight from Colombia agreed to take up the fight on just a day’s notice. With just 4 professional fights to his name, Ronderos was named the replacement fighter.

Ronderos stands 5ft 4 inches tall and is coached by Dennis Davis and Roman Isbell. The 26-year old is unbeaten in his four-fight professional MMA career. He has plied his trade entirely in the Warrior Xtreme Cagefighting championships.

It is worth noting that Ronderos has a win over former UFC flyweight Eric Shelton, against whom he earned a narrow split decision victory.

Training out of Xtreme Couture, Ronderos was preparing for a fight on the Contender Series, in Vegas, which is one of the main reasons why he was roped in for the fight.

Ronderos is unbeaten in his amateur career as well

With 4 wins in his professional career, Ronderos might appear like he might not have that much experience in his kitty. However, he has had quite a successful amateur career.

With 9 wins and zero losses, he sure does look a threat. It is said that he is quite an explosive fighter who always loves moving forward and putting the pressure on his opponents.

Wrestling seems to be the only area where he lacks a bit of skill, which might allow his opponents to take him down pretty easily.

With all said and done, props to Ronderos for taking the fight on such extremely short notice.
