Paul Felder vs Rafael dos Anjos could be called the battle of the moustache
Paul Felder already has won several UFC fans over after taking up the Rafael dos Anjos fight on short notice.
The 35-year-old took up the fight in less than a week after Islam Makhachev pulled out citing an injury. Felder last fought against Dan Hooker in February 2020 and has been doing commentary duty for several UFC shows.
However, his decision to take up the fight certainly got a lot of attention. Felder saved the next UFC Fight Night event and even Dos Anjos was grateful for the star to ensure the show would go on.
Dos Anjos is a former UFC Lightweight Champion and it will be interesting to see how things go for Felder in this clash.
The Brazilian star is on a bit of a slide with two losses and there is another factor that is cropping up ahead of this clash.
Dos Anjos has been rocking a moustache in recent weeks and well, Felder seems to have grown his too.
The American was snapped by the UFC while training recently and the stache was certainly prominent.
Felder also seemed to be in on the joke and tweeted about the same.
Credit has to be given to Felder for taking up this fight and he might not have gotten enough of time to break down Dos Anjos’ game.
Irrespective of what takes place on Saturday, Felder has certainly made a great decision for all fight fans. He seems to be revelling ahead of the clash too and many UFC fans fell in love with his stache.
