Robert Whittaker has big plans in the UFC in 2021

New Zealand’s Robert Whittaker took to social media to reveal his big plans for 2021, and UFC fans seemed to love it.

It has been a happening year for the former UFC Middleweight Champion. After losing his belt to Israel Adesanya in October 2019, he has bounced back in impressive fashion.

Although, his start to 2020 wasn’t a healthy one. He was supposed to fight Jared Cannonier at UFC 248 in March 2020 but pulled out of the fight in January for unknown reasons.

He later revealed that it was due to a ‘burnout’. However, his resilience saw him beat Englishman Darren Till at UFC Fight Island 3 in July via a unanimous decision.

Afterwards, he beat Cannonier after a dominant display in all 3 rounds of the rescheduled fight at UFC 254. And since then, fans have been wondering what he has in store next.

The New Zealander put out an emphatic and optimistic message on Twitter as the year draws to a close.

‘The Reaper’ says he wants to make 2021 his own. He acknowledged the good year he had after losing the belt to the Last Stylebender and probably understands that he needed a year to recover from that and go again.

And go again he will. Whittaker says he has his eyes on the UFC title again. He earlier said in November that a rematch against Adesanya for the title is his ‘right’.

He has also further reiterated that statement that he made earlier this year where he wanted his next fight to be a title fight.

Fans of The Reaper are on the same wavelength and supported him on his tweet in the reply section.
