UFC lightweight fighter Conor McGregor would be leaving no stone unturned as he continues training to face Dustin Poirier in less than 3 weeks’ time.
The Notorious One is scheduled to taken on Poirier on January 23rd, 2021, in UFC’s first PPV of the new year. The match is also said to have serious implications on the lightweight title.
With less than 20 days left for UFC 257, which takes place on Fight Island, Abu Dhabi, fans are speculating what could be at stake. The UFC 257 main even could even be made a title bout for the vacant lightweight championship.
If not a title fight, which it most likely will not be, the winner of this match would definitely be first in line for the belt. With the future of Khabib Nurmagomedov uncertain with UFC, a lot is on the line at this event.
This is also a rematch of their 2014 fight where both of them competed as featherweights. Conor McGregor ran out as the winner by TKO, but he knows things are different now.

He has just 2 UFC fights to his name in the past 3 years. His last bout came in January 2020, and he announced his retirement in June that year.
