Max Holloway reminds Stipe Miocic of one record that he does not have at the moment
It’s just hours until Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou square up against each other at UFC 260 this week.
The fight for the heavyweight title is, of course, a rematch of UFC 2020 where the American won comfortably. But while Miocic is expected to be feeling the heat, he was quite calm in the UFC 260 press conference earlier this week.
Miocic was being reminded of his multiple records that he holds by the interviewer and Dana White. He holds the record for the most strikes and most consecutive title defences in heavyweight history.
And he has also taken home the most post-fight bonuses in his weight class since the promotion came into existence.
But his good friend and fellow UFC fighter, Max Holloway, reminded him of one record that he still does not own.
The featherweight fighter replied saying that Miocic is still not ‘The Daddest Man on the Planet’ and that he should hope that Francis shows up for the fight or he would be facing a Hawaiian in the title fight.
This is a running joke that Holloway has with Daniel Cormier. Both of them are fathers and consistently fight amongst themselves to hold that title.
DC even challenged Holloway to a title fight. But now it seems there is a new contender for the title in Miocic.
The part-time firefighter/paramedic has a daughter, Meelah, who was born in 2018. And fans found it hilarious that Holloway was really calling out Miocic, one of the greatest heavyweights of all time, to a fight.
