Dan Hooker believes Israel Adesanya will get an easy win over Paulo Costa
UFC 253 is almost here and Dan Hooker shared his prediction for Israel Adesanya vs Paulo Costa.
Adesanya is a fellow Kiwi, like Hooker, and is undefeated in his MMA career. The Stylebender had an incredible career in kickboxing before MMA.
Adesanya is 19-0 in his MMA career but faces a tough opponent in Costa. The Brazilian is also undefeated in his MMA career at 13-0 and is one of the hardest strikers in the sport.
Hooker was speaking on his show and shared the prediction for the fight:
“This is going to be a one-sided fight. I don’t think this is going to be the biggest test of Israel’s career.
“I feel like Paulo Costa is too limited of a striker. He accepts wearing a few shots to give a few shots, which will work against another limited striker.
“But when you are up against Israel Adesanya, he picks his shots better than anybody in the world. And you are standing across from that guy, you let him hurt you, he will break you down, he will pick up apart, and he will stop you coming forward.”
Alexander Volkanovski might not be a Kiwi but the Australian agreed with the comments from Hooker:

One of the biggest rivalries
Costa vs Adesanya had been brewing for a while and UFC fans will finally see them in action at Fight Island.
The pair still need to make weight and Adesanya posted an update on the same. Costa came into this fight by being close to 30 pounds overweight, according to some outlets, and it will be interesting to see if he manages to get into shape in time.
Missing weight would mean that either fight is out of title contention, but the clash will still go ahead. Adesanya vs Costa should be a banger, and hopefully, it lives up to his expectations.
