Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fought in a professional boxing bout in August 2017

Mayweather vs Logan Paul went the full 8 rounds. The exhibition match was largely devoid of action, as both the boxers landed only a handful of punches throughout the entire course of the fight.

Just ahead of the match, the 44-year old Mayweather had opened up on a possibility of fighting UFC’s Conor McGregor again.

McGregor and Mayweather have fought once before in August 2017. Mr Money won the fight via. TKO in the 10th round.

However, at the post-fight interview following his fight against Paul, Mayweather divulged that he probably wouldn’t do even an exhibition again.

‘Will I make a comeback? Absolutely not. I have retired from the sport of boxing. I probably won’t do an exhibition again either.”

Mayweather retired with a record of 50-0 from the sport of professional boxing after beating McGregor in August 2017. His last exhibition fight was against Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018, where he won $9 million for his victory in just 139 seconds.

Floyd Mayweather claims Logan Paul was better than he thought he was

Despite Mayweather not being at his physical peak, Logan Paul did well to go the full 8 rounds with the legend.

Mayweather was pretty surprised about Paul’s performance. At the post-fight interview he gave props to the ‘Maverick’ saying he was better than what he had thought he would be.

Mayweather said:

“It was good action, we had fun. I was surprised by him tonight, good little work. He was better than I thought…Even though he didn’t have much experience, he knew how to use his weight and tie me up but I had fun and I’m sure he had fun.”
