“Here come the foot stomps” – Some fans hilariously predict how Kamaru Usman will beat Gilbert Burns as date is set for title clash

The date for Kamaru Usman vs Gilbert Burns has been confirmed and this is a fight hat has been long in the making

UFC 258 sees one of the matches that has been set up for a while but Gilbert Burns vs Kamaru Usman finally has a date.

The pair were set to meet at UFC 256 in the final PPV of 2020 but Usman needed more time to recover from an injury. The champion had defeated Jorge Masvidal earlier in the year and looked great in that clash.

However, some questions arose about him using a lot of foot stomps on Masvidal. Further, Gamebred came into this clash on short notice while Usman had a lot of time to prepare for Burns.

The original clash was Burns vs Usman but the Brazilian had to back out due to testing positive for Covid-19.

13 February will see Usman vs Burns finally happen, at least for now, and it is a match that has attracted a lot of attention ever since it was booked.

Foot stomps on the way?

Burns has been in fantastic touch since moving to the Welterweight division. The Brazilian has a huge win over former champion Tyron Woodley and it will be interesting to see how he does against Usman.

The pair have trained in the past and that could work in the favour of Burns. Of course, the same goes for Usman and he could take advantage of their practice sessions in the past.

For some reason, Usman isn’t always heralded for the champion he is, and that is more than evident as this fight was confirmed.

While Burns is a great rival and the pair should put on a good show, many backed Usman to keep hold of the title.

However, they didn’t believe that it would be a blood and thunder fight but rather more of a clinch and foot stomp win for Usman.
