Gane, is still undefeated in his short MMA career, and is the current interim heavyweight champ, after beating Derrick Lewis at UFC 265.
The latest news is that Ngannou will be receiving 50% of his fight purse in Bitcoin.
Taking to Twitter, Ngannou wrote:
“Been talking with my family and friends in the crypto space. #Bitcoin is huge in Africa and I’m thinking of taking half my fight purse in it. Bitcoin is the future and I’m a believer @ufc#ufc270.”
Bitcoin has gathered a lot of steam in Africa with more and more people adopting the famed cryptocurrency. Notable Senegalese-singer Akon has his own cryptocurrency – AKOIN.
