UFC heavyweight king Francis Ngannou has sounded off a warning to heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.
Newly crowned UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou has asked the Gypsy King to be wary of the damage he can do to him.
Ngannou exacted revenge at UFC 260, as he beat Stipe Miocic to lay the ghosts of his UFC 220 loss to rest, and thereby winning the heavyweight title. The Cameroonian did his hometown of Batie proud, and will only be looking to going strength to strength from here.
‘The Predator’ was recently the guest in an episode of HotBoxin’ with Mike Tyson, hosted by Mike Tyson with former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub being the co-host.
After having a long chat over a myriad of topics, Iron Mike and Ngannou posed for a picture, which the Cameroonian later posted on Twitter.
‘The Gypsy King’, posted the same picture and warned Ngannou that he would finish him, once he is done with Anthony Joshua.
Fury tweeted :
“.@MikeTyson after I smash @anthonyjoshua I鈥檒l roast that guy also. @francis_ngannou easy work.”
‘The Predator’ wasted no time, as he posted a picture of a bloodied Fury during his match against Otto Wallin (in September 2019).
Wallin had gone into the fight as a massive underdog, and Ngannou pointed out the fact that the damage he would do would be immeasurable when compared to the damage the underdog Wallin had inflicted.
Ngannou’s reply read:
“If this guy did this to you, what do you think I would do?”
Both Ngannou and Fury are on the verge of a historic contest in their respective sports
While Ngannou vs Jon Jones has been all the rage in the UFC of late, Fury is on the verge of fighting fellow Britisher Anthony Joshua in a title unification heavyweight clash.
Talks haven’t begun for the heavyweight clash between Jones and Ngannou, yet. The fight will mark the heavyweight debut of ‘Bones’.
The only problem with the fight not moving further is, the UFC President Dana White is caught in a Catch-22 situation, due to the exorbitant fight purse Jon has been demanding.
Elsewhere, negotiations for the AJ-Fury bout were going really smooth, with a two-fight title unification deal signed recently by parties of both the fighters, before a struggle to find a proper location due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic began.
