Israel Adesanya easily defeated Paulo Costa and has called out Jon Jones since that win while Francis Ngannou also wants a piece of Jones

Francis Ngannou was speaking to the Schmo while at Xtreme Couture. The Heavyweight contender hopes to face Stipe Miocic in the final PPV of the year and wants the UFC to set it up.

While Ngannou has spoken of changing his approach against the champion, he was asked about another titleholder.

Israel Adesanya demolished his rival, Paulo Costa, easily at UFC 253. There were a lot of words thrown between the competitors but in the end, Adesanya was leagues above Costa.

The Brazilian barely got a hit onto Adesanya and the Last Stylebender celebrated wildly after the fight.

Costa was left with a bruised ego after all this and Ngannou was asked about Izzy’s performance.

The pair are close and Ngannou had a ton of praise for the UFC Middleweight champion:

“F****** s*** that was sick. Unbelievable. He make Paulo Costa look like he doesn’t even know how to fight.

“It was like a masterclass, putting on a clinic. Sharp, everything, perfect fight. It was crazy.”

Who faces Jones first?

Ngannou was one of the first fighters to call out Jon Jones after the Light Heavyweight star gave up his UFC title.

Jones has since moved to the Heavyweight division and is keen on fighting Miocic for the title. However, there are some that are suggesting that Jones takes on Ngannou first and the winner takes on Miocic.

Jones has also traded barbs with Adesanya in the past, and the pair have been going at it again.

Ngannou was asked who would get Jones first, however, the Cameroon-French star couldn’t pinpoint which division Jones was fighting in:

“I don’t know if Jon Jones is going to fight at Middleweight, Heavyweight or Light Heavyweight.

“I don’t know which weight class he belongs to.”

Ngannou added that he was just concentrating on getting the UFC Heavyweight title and that was his aim.
