Francis Ngannou weighed in on the recently concluded Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather fight

Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather went the full 8 rounds during their exhibition bout at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The match was largely devoid of action, with Mayweather hesitant to go for the kill.

Both the fighters went home with a bag of cash, with Paul expected to have made around $20 million.

Amidst the raging issue about UFC fighters being paid less, UFC heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou’s tweet about the exhibition fight got the whole combat sports community buzzing.

‘The Predator’ didn’t seem amused about ‘The Maverick’ taking home $20 million of cash. Taking to Twitter he wrote:

“It’s crazy to think that Logan Paul (0-1) just made $20M on a boxing exhibition. WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG?”

Ngannou’s tweet comes in the wake of Logan’s brother Jake Paul openly blasting UFC President Dana White for paying his fighters less.

Jake Paul tears into Dana White for not paying the fighters enough

Following his face-off against Tyron Woodley, Jake Paul gave a long and elaborate speech about UFC fighters being paid less. ‘The Problem Child’ ripped apart UFC President Dana White for paying people who risk their lives every time they step inside the cage.

He wanted the boss to pay up Jon Jones the required amount, $10 million according to Paul, bringing up examples like the recent Chris Weidman leg injury incident.

Due to his huge social media following, Paul’s message gained widespread attention and reignited the never-ending ‘fighters being paid less’ debate.

Here is what Paul had to say:

“There’s a movement, moving forward that is gonna show that fighters should be getting paid more. It’s unfair. The UFC fighters don’t have fair pay. Out of all the sports, the percentage that the owners get versus the athlete, they’re the lowest. Francis Ngannou vs. Jon Jones, that fight should happen. Dana White, pay them the $10 million. He’s taking their money. They’re the ones making the content. They’re the ones getting in the ring, risking their life.”
