Francis Ngannou provided a contract update ahead of his UFC Heavyweight title clash against Stipe Miocic
UFC 260 is expected to be another great show from the promotion. UFC 257 certainly lived up to the hype as Dustin Poirier and Michael Chandler put on a couple of impressive performances on the main card.
There were some other brilliant performances as well with Joanna Calderwood doing the business. However, there were not titles on the line in the first PPV of 2021. That is going to change in the upcoming PPVs and one of them seems set for UFC 260.
Francis Ngannou, the #1 ranked UFC Heavyweight, posted a contract update ahead of his title clash against Stipe Miocic.
The 34-year-old Ngannou is on a four-fight win streak but had lost to Miocic at UFC 220. However, this is a different Ngannou from then and he confirmed that the deal had been struck and the contract signed.
Ngannou also used a moniker made famous by Poirier recently and called himself the uncrowned champ.
Ngannou has been outstanding for the past couple of years and many believe he is the most dangerous man in the UFC.
He has incredible punching power and a proper hit could knock Miocic out. The champion, for his part, hasn’t fought since finishing his rivalry with Daniel Cormier.
He beat Cormier to keep hold of the title at UFC 252. The win cemented Miocic’s legacy, with many considering him to be the best UFC Heavyweight ever.
Cormier also retired from the UFC after the fight, though he still does a lot of commentary. Ngannou has it in him to get the belt, for the first time, but Miocic has experience on his side.
Jon Jones is the other star that will be keeping an eye on this fight as he is expected to take on the winner of this.
