Gegard Mousasi explains the bizarre beef between him and Conor Mcgregor while speaking to Ariel Helwani
Bellator middleweight champion, Gegard Mousasi has some choice words for former UFC double champion, Conor McGregor.
Mcgregor’s dream boxing match against Floyd Mayweather had the MMA community talking, and Mousasi voiced his opinion like many. He did not appreciate the way both fighters used money and expensive talks to promote the fight. This ignited the beef between them and Mcgregor contacted his management via Twitter and the two went back and forth with insults through direct messages.
Speaking to Ariel Helwani on the MMA hour, Mousasi spoke about the dispute saying,
“I said something about it (boxing match vs Mayweather), and the idiot sent me a private message. Actually, he sent it to my manager because I don’t do Twitter. That was it, and I then said to manager, write something back. He’s a moron.”
“He said, ‘don’t bring my name in your mouth,’ and I said, you’re a ginger-headed f*ck.”
Gegard Mousasi issues a boxing challenge to Anderson Silva
The latest entrant to a growing list of MMA fighters who have expressed their interest in trying their hands at boxing is Bellator middleweight champion, Gegard Mousasi.
The former UFC fighter even has a name on his mind should he make that switch. Anderson Silva diverted the world’s attention from Woodley vs Paul when he fought boxing veteran Juilo Chavez Jr and beat him.
Silva, after having left the UFC in 2020, has turned his attention towards boxing. He has beaten Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Tito Ortiz since then.
