Giga Chikadze claims he can defeat Max Holloway in two rounds

Giga Chikadze has been very vocal about facing Max Holloway in the UFC

Chikadze has been creating flutters in the men’s featherweight division. The Georgian is still undefeated in the UFC in 6 fights, and his recent win over the experienced Cub Swanson showed how good a striker he can be.

He has now broken into the top 10 of the featherweight rankings (sits at 10 currently), and has already spoken about his lofty ambitions.

The Georgian has always been intrigued by the way number 1 ranked featherweight Max Holloway fights. In almost every interview of his, Chikadze never fails to mention his ambitions of fighting ‘Blessed’.

What used to remain a respectful callout, seems to have gone quite overboard in his recent interview with TMZ Sports.

Chikadze openly claimed that he was a better striker than Holloway, and also that he would need less than three rounds to finish the hard-as-nails Hawaiian.

He told TMZ Sports:

“I guarantee you I’m the best striker in the organization. I’m a much better striker than Max Holloway. I just need my chance to prove it. It doesn’t matter if it’s gonna be a 3-round fight, 5-round fight, I only give him 2 [rounds]. That’s max.”

Giga Chikadze just wouldn’t stop

It looks like Chikadze wouldn’t stop unless he is matched up against Max Holloway.

Holloway vs Kattar took place earlier this year in January, it is considered to be one of the most one-sided fights in UFC history, as Holloway put on an absolutely stellar show, landing an unbelievable 445 strikes.

Chikadze recently tweeted that he had re-watched Kattar vs Holloway and claimed that he would be the best boxer, had he been inside the cage. Quite an outrageous claim, given Holloway’s phenomenal striking.

Chikadze wrote:

“I just rewatched “Kattar VS Holloway” and, if @BlessedMMA fights me I’ll make sure he won’t be screaming “I’m the best boxer” @ufc @danawhite @AliAbdelaziz00.”
