Giga Chikadze is coming off an incredible win over Jamey Simmons and wants to fight a ranked UFC star next
Georgian star Giga Chikadze picked up his seventh MMA win in a row as he continued to rise up the ladder.
The 32-year-old might have joined the UFC late in his career, but he is making up for lost time. Chikadze already had some impressive wins in his career and he was at it again versus Jamey Simmons.
One incredible head kick was enough and Chikadze called it a “Giga kick”. Ali Abdelaziz was also impressed by the 32-year-old but Chikadze isn’t resting on his laurels.
He wants another fight to close out the year and called out Jeremy Stephens for a December outing. Stephens was to fight on the same card as Chikadze but his opponent, Arnold Allen pulled out.
Chikadze called Stephens out during his post-fight conference, and Stephens also accepted the fight.
Nice fight @giga_chikadze I accept for December buttcheeks let’s go @ufc

The Georgian also was ready for this clash and it will be interesting to see if the UFC can schedule this fight before the end of the year.

Time to break into the rankings?
Stephens is ranked #8 in the Featherweight division, and it seems to be a great fight on paper. The 34-year-old American is ranked higher than Chikadze but has been on a bit of a slide.
He hasn’t won any of his last five fights and was last in action at UFC 249 against Calvin Kattar. Stephens has a ton of UFC experience and could help Chikadze break into the UFC rankings.
The Georgian has been incredibly impressive over the past two years and he seems set for great things in the future.
Chikadze now holds a record of 12 wins and two losses, but his win column should increase further in the coming years.
