Giga Chikadze shares frustrations over not finding an opponent for next UFC fight

Giga Chikadze is currently undefeated in the UFC but can’t find an opponent for his next fight

Georgian UFC star Giga Chikadze has been incredible since coming to the UFC. The 32-year-old had just one loss in his MMA career before joining the UFC but has impressed a lot.

Chikadze, so far, has fought five times in the promotion and has won all five of them. The 32-year-old has won four fights in 2020 and last defeated Jamey Simmons with a wonderful head kick.

Many, including Ali Abdelaziz, were impressed with the “Giga kick” as the move is called. However, Chikadze has been left frustrated due to no fighters wanting to face him.

The Georgian tweeted out that no one in the UFC wanted to play with him and was seeking more fights before the end of the year.

Two more outings in the year?

Chikadze is still unranked in the Featherweight division even after picking up a Performance of the Night bonus against Simmons.

It is incredible that he cannot find a fight but that could be due to the fact that he wants two more battles before the end of the year.

Chikadze tagged Sean Shelby and Dana White regarding this and even Abdelaziz. It will be interesting to see if someone decides to take up the challenge but Chikadze would be at an advantage in all this.

He has fought several times this year while others need a few months to prepare for a battle. Taking up four fights in a year, which was hampered by Covid, is a commendable feat.

However, winning all of them and dominating his opponents should be applauded too. Chikadze is currently on a seven-fight win streak and hopefully, the UFC does find a rival for him soon.
