Justin Gaethje had a piece of advice for the legendary Nate Diaz
Justin Gaethje and Nate Diaz haven’t been on the best of terms, often taking subliminal digs at each other. But Gaethje understands the star power that Diaz possesses and has given him the necessary props in that regard. The former interim UFC lightweight champion Justin has advised Nate Diaz to forego a return to the UFC and instead focus on making money elsewhere.
Diaz, 37, had been trying to leave the UFC for months after spending 15 years competing in the company but was unable to secure a fight. Fans accused the UFC of betraying the veteran by pairing him with rising star Khamzat Chimaev for his final fight, but Chimaev went on to miss weight and was pulled from the fight. The teams also got into a backstage scuffle according to several reports. Diaz finished his UFC career on a high note, submitting Tony Ferguson and entering free agency waters.
The UFC legend has been backed to cash in on a lucrative payday against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul now that he is free to pursue other opportunities. Gaethje told ESPN about Diaz’s future:
“He better not ever come back. He better go make money somewhere else. There’s plenty of money to be made for Nate Diaz outside of the UFC. He can be his own boss and that’s what he should do.”
Dillon Danis got into a scuffle with MMA superstar Nate Diaz at UFC 281. The two were in attendance to witness the pay-per-view event that went down last Saturday at Madison Square Garden. The UFC legend, who is no stranger to a brawl, was surrounded by fans outside the prestigious arena following the event, when he bumped into Danis, his friend and McGregor’s manager Audie Attar.
In the latest news, Diaz’s teammate Chris Avila, who fought in the Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva event against Dr. Mike has posted an image of Dillon Danis being escorted by the cops. Although it’s not sure whether he was handcuffed, it is safe to say that Danis wasn’t looking happy in the image that has surfaced on the internet.
Several fans reacted to the tweet with hilarious comments. One fan wrote:
“I’m confused as to how and where Danis gets money to survive.”
Another fan wrote:
“Lol why does his feet look so tiny 😂”
Some other fan mocked Danis saying that he’s pretending to be a real fighter:
“Let me guess, arrested for pretending to be a professional fighter.”
