Khabib Nurmagomedov and Ali Abdelaziz shared some jokes during a press conference
Khabib Nurmagomedov and his manager Ali Abdelaziz had time to joke about the UFC star’s dad facing off against Abdelaziz.
Abdelaziz was asked what Khabib’s dad did to him the first time they met.
Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov trained Khabib during the UFC star’s younger days. He also wrestled at a young age and spent time in the Army before helping his sons get better in MMA etc.
Abdulmanap is trained in judo and sambo. The Russian is also a senior coach for the Dagestan combat sambo team.
Abdelaziz was speaking to MMA Weekly and said:
“He [Nurmagomedov Sr] smashed me. He said, ‘Hey, you think you are strong?’, I said, ‘Yeah’, and he smiled and he grabbed me, he held tight and almost broke my whole chest.”
Khabib added that his manager and father both loved judo. However, Abdelaziz added that Nurmagomedov Sr beat him.
“He beat me, his father beat me, I have to admit”.
Eagle and a gazelle
Khabib and Abdelaziz even joked about an eagle and a gazelle. The manager claimed that he could take on an eagle, however, Khabib was quick to say that an eagle hunts and can take on any animal.
Abdelaziz has managed several top talents in UFC and has also hit out at another top star. The manager has hit out at Conor McGregor several times, especially after the Irishman lost to Khabib at UFC 229.
Abdelaziz has mostly highlighted McGregor tapping out to Khabib from a few years back and took out time to taunt him again recently.
