Henry Cejudo shared his prediction for Israel Adesanya vs Jan Blachowicz
Israel Adesanya vs Jan Blachowicz is a huge fight for UFC 259 and Henry Cejudo shared his prediction for the same.
Cejudo was speaking to Helen Yee as he opened up on a lot of topics. Triple C, as Cejudo is called, confirmed that his decision to retire from the UFC was a financial one.
He wasn’t out of the fight game but added that only a fight worthy of his legacy would see him return. Cejudo also spoke about some problems with Conor McGregor’s tactics but Adesanya vs Blachowicz also saw Triple C make a bit of a shock prediction.
Adesanya, the UFC Middleweight champion, is moving up a division to take on the Light Heavyweight Champion Blachowicz.
However, the former UFC Champion believed that Adesanya would get the KO win over the Pole:
“I think he is going to knock out the Polish nightmare. I really do, I think he is going to knock him out just because nobody fights Israel with tactics.
“Israel, I like him, he is a world champion, but he’s not well rounded yet or at least he hasn’t showed it yet.”
Blachowicz should have more punching power when compared to Adesanya but Cejudo believed that the Last Stylebender would get it done.
Israel Adesanya still needs to show more
Cejudo also brought up a comparison with Jose Aldo and claimed that Adesanya had to show more style in his fights.
Triple C claimed that we had not seen the best of Adesanya and there was a need for him to show more transitions in his fighting styles.
Adesanya is unbeaten in his MMA career and has taken on all comers. He has dominated most of his rivals too and this was an interesting take from Cejudo.
The Kiwi star might have the speed advantage over Blachowicz but he also did well against the power of Paulo Costa in his last fight.
Many believed that Costa’s KO power would be enough to defeat Adesanya, but Izzy easily navigated this problem and destroyed the Brazilian rather easily.
