His latest target seems to be the UFC BMF belt holder, Jorge Masvidal, who lost to Colby Covington at UFC 272. The fight was a rather one-sided affair owing to Covington’s pedigree in wrestling. ‘Triple C’ has cited that he can make Masvidal a “more technical fighter.”

He sat down with The Schmo to discuss the idea of him training Masvidal, and said that he would help the Miami native control distance inside the ring, improve not just his wrestling in the traditional sense, but also develop an all-round grappling prowess that works in modern-day MMA.

He said, “I think I could help Jorge become a more technical fighter. He’s too smart. I’ve always had so much love for that dude. I’m bummed out that I haven’t been able to have that relationship with him. My door will always be open for @GamebredFighter”

A change in camp for a brief period can revitalize Masvidal’s career that is on all-time low slant. ‘The Gamebred’ is on a three fight losing streak for the first time in his career, and it will be interesting to see how his career shapes up should he accept Cejudo’s invitation.
