Although there seems to be no real threat to Adesanya’s reign, former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo has identified Khamzat Chimaev as a menace that can dethrone the middleweight champion.

Khamzat earlier responded to Adesanya’s performance at UFC 271 arguing that he is an easy money fight for him.

Reacting to his tweet on the ‘The Triple C and the Schmo Show’, Cejudo said “I love Chimaev man. I don’t want him to fight my boy ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ [Kamaru Usman, UFC Welterweight Champion] but I would love for him to go out and really demonstrate people how it’s supposed to be done with the wrestling, you know what I mean. I think Chimaev is special I think he’s proven a dude and you know he’s the biggest threat right now, he’s the hottest prospect, he’s the hottest contender to become the next UFC champ,” Cejudo concluded.

Khamzat Chimaev has emerged with some crazy statistics in his first four fights inside the UFC octagon. Having competed in both welterweight and middleweight divisions, MMA fans and analysts have tipped him to be the only fighter who can derail the championship run of the UFC welterweight and middleweight champions.

Chimaev has won all four of his fights inside the UFC octagon by finishes and has competed in the welterweight and middleweight divisions. The nature of his supremacy is reflected in a never seen before stat which shows that he’s only been at the receiving end of a cumulative three strikes in his four matches.

Following Adesanya’s victory over Whittaker, Chimaev wrote:

@stylebender easy money for me, 0 wrestling. 1 round I’m gonna kill him.”

Will Khamzat claim double champ status in the future still remains a question as the fans await fight news for ‘The Wolf’
