‘Triple C’ has made his prediction known for UFC 264: Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3

One of the most anticipated matches of the year will soon be underway. Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier headline UFC 264’s main event. This will be the pair’s third fight, with the scoreline currently at 1-1.

It all began in September 2014 at UFC 178, back when McGregor and Poirier were both relatively much younger. McGregor blitzed his way to victory, as he knocked out ‘The Diamond’ in the very first round of the fight.

After almost 7 years, at UFC 257 in January 2021, Poirier was able to exact his revenge. This time he knocked out the Irishman in the second round.

Elsewhere, former UFC two-division champion and retired fighter Henry Cejudo gave his prediction for McGregor vs Poirier 3.

Cejudo felt that the fight might pan out the same way as the way it did at UFC 257. In an interview with Mike Swick of Real Quick, Cejudo said:

“It’s not going to go good for Conor in my eyes. I think it’s going to go the same way. Poirier is going to stop him again because he’s lost his groove. His icebox got wet, you know what I’m saying, like that Chris Brown song. That was a part of the swagger, when you lose that, you can come back to it, but it’s not the same for the other person.”

Henry Cejudo also reveals how far the fight might go

Cejudo just didn’t stop there. He also claimed that the fight might go until the third round. He believed that calf kicks will once again play a crucial role in the fight.

Conor McGregor posted a video of him kicking a post following his defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257(Instagram)

Cejudo continued:

“It may be the same to you, but it’s not going to be the same for the opponent. I think the fight might go to the third round, but I think Poirier is going to stop him again. I don’t know how. It might be the kicks again or might be hands.”
