Henry Cejudo enjoyed watching one particular fight as Josh Emmett and Shane Burgos clashed at UFC Las Vegas 3
Former UFC Bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo shared his thoughts on some of the fights at UFC Las Vegas 3.
Cejudo was a two-division UFC champion but decided to retire from the sport recently. However, Triple C has suggested he will only return to face Alexander Volkanovski for the Featherweight title.
That would mean moving to another division, and Cejudo posted confirmation of him moving to the Featherweight division.
Emmett and Burgos did impress in the fight at Las Vegas 3 as the clash went all the way. It was Emmett who picked up the win via a unanimous decision, and Cejudo tweeted that this was a great fight in his division:
“Fight of the year candidate. Beautiful to see these two artists go to work in MY weight class #UFCVegas3”.
The stress on the “MY” seems to hint he wants a move to the Featherweight division, and it will be interesting to see what is next for Cejudo.
He has appeared on AEW and spoken of boxing too, but the lure of becoming a three-division champion could see him make his UFC return.
The Australian defeated Max Holloway to win the Featherweight title a few months back. Volkanovski will defend his title against Holloway at UFC 251 and he recently spoke about the clash on Ariel Helwani’s show.
While Volkanovski was open to fighting Cejudo, the Australian believed there is too much competition to become the No.1 contender now.
Cejudo has been dropping a lot of hints of wanting to move up, but it is difficult to see him get a straight shot at the title before taking on someone else in the division.
Triple C is one of the most impressive stars to have ever come into the UFC. Hopefully, he does return to create history and win a belt in a third division.
