How is Joanna Jedrzejczyk making the best use of her coronavirus isolation?

Joanna Jedrzejczyk last fought for the UFC Strawweight title at UFC 248

Polish UFC star Joanna Jedrzejczyk has more time on her hands than expected. The 32-year-old fought against Zhang Weili for the Strawweight title at UFC 248 but couldn’t get the crown.

However, the coronavirus pandemic has ensured most UFC stars spend more time at home than before. Jedrzejczyk is no different as she spends some time in Poland but the UFC star spoke about what all she has been doing during these times.

Sport Dziennik carried some quotes from the former Strawweight champion while Jedrzejczyk spoke with Polsat Sport show.

The 32-year-old claimed she was following a couple of her passions during her off-time from training. UFC stars have to be in top shape throughout the year, but Joanna is learning Spanish, something she has spoken about in the past and is also playing the piano.

It seems unlikely that she can fight in America soon due to flight restrictions, but Jedrzejczyk is keen on one rematch.

Ready for round 2 vs Zhang

The fight against Zhang will go down as one of the greatest MMA title fights ever. Zhang and Jedrzejczyk threw everything they had at each other, and the Chinese star kept her title by the slimmest of margins.

Jedrzejczyk, for her part, battled past a nasty-looking head injury. Her forehead was swollen and the MMA star could have retired from the fight.

However, she battled on and was later sent to the hospital for checks. Fortunately, Jedrzejczyk didn’t suffer any major injuries and she has spoken about a rematch with her Chinese rival.

Zhang also spoke about the possibility of facing Jedrzejczyk again. However, the Chinese champion also claimed she wanted to take a break from her busy title defences in the past.

Jedrzejczyk vs Zhang would be another slobber-knocker, and it will be interesting to see when that fight is made.
