“My methods are dangerous and can cause a fire” – Israel Adesanya unhappy with Covid-19 restrictions as he tries crazy food heating method

Israel Adesanya seems to be enjoying his Covid-19 quarantine time in New Zealand

UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, is currently observing a quarantine in a hotel in New Zealand. It is mandatory for everyone coming from abroad to observe that time in isolation.

And strict adherence to such rules is a major reason why the country has dealt with the Covid-19 pandemic so well.

But ‘Izzy’ seems to be hating one aspect of it; that there is no microwave in his room to heat food. This prompted him to upload a couple of dangerous videos on his Twitter.

The Nigerian-born Kiwi is seen heating his food with an iron meant for clothes. And now, he has revealed that the hotel has called him to not use it as a way of heating his food as it is a fire hazard.

You can’t really blame the hotel for that, in all honesty. ‘The Last Stylebender’ retaliated, however, saying that a microwave is not dangerous and he wouldn’t be resorting to such means had there been one inside his room.

“So the hotel called me cuz of the clips I’ve posted. Saying I’d be liable for the cost if the fire department gets called out. So they obviously see that my methods are dangerous and can cause a fire trying to warm up my food. You know what’s less dangerous..a god damn microwave.”

Seems like a good way to kill time. And if nobody is hurt, then it’s just a funny incident… at least that’s what we think.

Nevertheless, Izzy now has a decision to make. And it’s not about how to heat his food.

Adesanya lost to Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259 in a light heavyweight title bout. His future is now up in the air as he is yet to announce if he will stay at 205 or return to 185.

His coach, Eugene Bareman, did point towards a couple of big title fights at middleweight, but there is nothing official on it yet.
