It has been almost 9 months since Israel Adesanya beat Paulo Costa at UFC 253
A confident and marauding Paulo Costa took on Israel Adesanya at UFC 253. He was unbeaten coming into the fight, and looked to grab hold of the middleweight title.
Unfortunately, he lost the fight in just two rounds, succumbing to Adesanya’s flurry of punches and elbows.
Costa hasn’t fought since that night and of late he has gone hysteric on Twitter. After a series of controversial tweets, he pulled out from his fight against Jared Cannonier on the 21st of August stating that he never wanted the fight in the first place.
Adesanya took to Twitter and trolled Paulo Costa due to his recent Twitter outbursts.
He wrote:
“Leave that boy alone…it’s been 9 months. He’s due soon. #itaintminetho.”
Adesanya was clearly referring to the dry hump celebration he performed after knocking out Costa at UFC 253, and hence the claim of impregnation.
Adesanya is already into his second fight since UFC 253
Adesanya will be taking on Marvin Vettori for the middleweight title at UFC 263. This will be the Nigerian’s second fight since UFC 253. He previously fought Jan Blachowicz at UFC 259.
Costa, on the other hand, hasn’t fought even once since that night at UFC 253, and in fact has withdrawn from two fights so far.
First, it was against Robert Whittaker on the 17th of April- Kelvin Gastelum stepped in for him. And now, it is against Jared Cannonier, and once again Kelvin Gastelum has stepped in.
No one knows when Borrachinha would be willing to fight next.
